The UKCC STEPS Welcome Desk Staff job entails answering the phones, checking in clients, scheduling client appointments, approving clinical forms in the Titanium schedule, directing calls to the appropriate clinical staff or alerting the daytime on-call clinician of any crises. There is also some scanning of forms and other clinical documents as well as delivery of mail and copying. Most of the time there would be another support staff with the person but there will also times when this person will work solo in the office. The STEPS employee serves as another check-in window option and another person answering calls. This person also serves as a back-up for breaks and lunches. With the increase in clinical staff and trainees, there can easily be over 80 appointments in a day and over 50 calls in a day. When multiple groups are beginning, the welcome desk gets a line of students waiting to complete online forms and check in. It is essential during those times to have multiple people at the welcome desk.Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :
