Physical Requirements:Must be able to sit or stand for periods of 5 or more hours and reach above shoulder level.
Shift:Monday thru Friday 8a-4p
Job Summary:Register new pharmacy charge accounts. Review reports to make corrections as necessary to pharmacy accounts. Ensure correct Insurance information is on all pharmacy accounts, Follow-up on pharmacy accounts and ensure balance is correct. Bill and follow-up with third party payers and payments not received from Insurance. Enter Charges for special pharmacy billing like MTM and preparing statements/follow up on patient copays. Review preliminary Medicare Part B payment file before submitting to AR vendor. Sort lockbox correspondence, assist with filing and maintaining records, and other clerical duties as assigned. Provide superior customer service both internally and externally by responding timely, efficiently, and professionally in all situations. Consistently deliver exceptional customer service to all parties involved in a positive manner. Work to improve efficiency, effectiveness, and consistency of operations. Establish, develop, and maintain open lines of communication internally and externally, with patients in person, hospital staff, and outside agencies via telephone, fax, and email. Post clear and concise memos. Read and respond appropriately to emails and other inquiries by the end of the next business day.
