The Department of Informatics and Engineering Systems, housed in the College of Science and Technology is excited to invite applications for a tenure-track, nine-month faculty position. This dynamic individual will teach in our undergraduate and graduate program on the Spartanburg and/or Greenville campus and online. The ideal applicant will be able to teach courses in our core curriculum, while bringing a specialized area of study that complements the existing faculty expertise. We are extremely interested in applicants who can teach existing information technology courses, including cybersecurity, data science/analytics, and IT project management. As a teaching institution, we seek applicants who are good instructors, and who can maintain a scholarly agenda and provide service to the Department and University.
The Department of Informatics and Engineering Systems offers a BA in Information Management and Systems and in Health Informatics; BA in Information Management and Systems with a concentration in Health Information Management:BASin Advanced Manufacturing; BS in Engineering Technology Management; and a Master of Informatics.

Minimum Qualifications: Ph.D. in a field related to information management or information technology is required.ABDcandidates with a planned completion date of August 15, 2021 hire may also be considered. A successful background check is required.

Preferred Qualifications: Ph.D. in information technology, computer science, information management and a proven record of teaching and research. Experience in corporate information technology management and/or experience in program and curriculum development is preferred.
