Position Summary:

Florida Atlantic University is seeking a Coordinator, Intercollegiate Athletics, Boca Raton, FL.

Summary of Responsibilities Include:

  • Plan, coordinate and execute miscellaneous events hosted by the athletics department. These events include, but are not limited to, annual athletics awards banquet, Hall of Fame dinner and women's basketball season ticket holder luncheon. In addition, this individual will research, develop, and implement athletics department employee orientation, retention, and recognition programs.
  • Maintain all personnel files, create position advertisements, and process all new hire and continuing employment paperwork as well as initiating separations for all departing employees. In addition, time input and candidate travel/itineraries will fall within this job description.
  • Assist the athletics director and senior associate athletics director by arranging professional meetings, maintaining work calendars/schedules, initiating, executing game contracts for all sports, greeting department visitors, creating PowerPoint and other professional presentations for public speaking engagements and prospect meetings and arranging professional travel.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution and two years of appropriate experience required.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential to success in this position.

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word, Outlook, PowerPoint and Excel.

Must also have excellent customer service, organizational and time management skills.
