Under general supervision, the Departmental Assistant performs varied clerical duties. Position requires knowledge of general office routine and procedures. This position supports the Job Resource Center Internship Manager.Education/Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED) with some specialized training (educational or vocational); a minimum of one year related experience as a clerk typist or secretarial experience in a general office environment.Qualifications:
Must be able to use word processing equipment and familiar with Microsoft Office preferred; must have excellent written and verbal communication skills, organization abilities and basic bookkeeping skills. Proficiency testing will include basic Word, basic Excel, alpha filing, and a keyboarding test.
Experience with coordinating events, social media platforms and presentation skills preferred.
15 hours per week – evening hours on Tuesdays.Minimum Starting Rate:
