Assigned duties for this quarter-time position: Responsible for advancing and increasing IGH medical education and research abroad initiatives, programs, projects, and funding proposals with current and new IGH institutional partners in Latin America and the Caribbean for faculty, students, and staff and elsewhere, such as Canada, South Asia and the Middle East.
Essential duties and responsibilities:1. Provide structured oversight and research mentorship to Michigan State University - COM MEDICAL students and other MSU students as designated by IGH with sustainable global outreach projects; 2. Facilitate the networking of MSU researchers with our global partner researchers, in Latin America and the Caribbean, Canada, South Asia, and the Middle East; 3. Seek and build strategic partnerships with external organizations to further support our Objectives; 4. Serve as Junior Research Associate/IGH; 5. Serve as lecturer as needed by IGH; 6. Assist with MSGH program as appropriate and as needed; 7. Assist professional grant writers as needed to facilitate research project growth; 8. Doctorate -MedicineMinimum Requirements
MD or DO degree. Completed residency. Fluent English, Experience with medical education abroad programs. Willing to travel domestically and internationally as needed to support and conduct education abroad programs.Desired Qualifications

- Diplomas - including especially for medical degree and other health related degrees
- Proof of relevant board certifications for practice in the USA.
- proof of current valid medical license for practice in USA.
Especially during travel duties, at times will need to carry boxes of supplies in excess of 50 pounds and potentially equipment in excess of 25 pounds as well as luggage for such travel.Summary of Health Risks

TB risk or work within 3 feet of human patients in a health care setting or have potential exposure to animals or to specimens with Mycobacterium. 3.
