Normal Work Schedule: Monday - Friday 8:00am-5:00pm, some weekends & extended hours
Job Summary: Performs a broad scope of professional accounting activities requiring experienced, professional knowledge and application of accounting principles and practices.
Additional Department Summary: This position provides financial accounting support, monitors vendor statements and supervises the Supply Store's accounts payable office to ensure invoices and credits are managed properly. This position involves accounting, reporting and understanding of a perpetual inventory management system. Responsibilities include projections, reports, financial reporting, monitoring of general ledger accounts, analysis of account variances and fluctuations, creating schedules and spreadsheets, journal entry maintenance, reconciliation of accounts and supervising office staff.
Required Minimum Qualifications: Bachelor's degree or higher in Accounting or Finance and one (1) year of accounting experience; OR a CPA and some accounting experience.
Skills and Knowledge: Ability to monitor and analyze budget information. Ability to interpret budget and other financial data. Thorough knowledge of and ability to apply accounting policies and procedures. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Ability to make decisions based on careful analysis and thoughtful judgments. Proficient with Microsoft Excel and Word.
