Programmer Analyst - Institutional Research
Job descriptionUnder the general supervision of the Director of Institutional Research, the programmer analyst will conduct analyses, develop, test, and support the new EAB Navigator management platform by providing technical expertise and assistance to the Office of Institutional Research and the Division of Academic and Student Affairs. The Programmer Analyst will serve as a member of the Title III implementation team working towards the shared goal: "HCC will become a culturally-responsive institution (a Hispanic "Thriving" Institution) by delivering a holistic approach to student success and professional development."
REQUIRED:Bachelor's degree in computer science, informatics, management information systems, data analytics, or related field; One to three years of experience working with Ellucian Banner or any other student information system (SIS); Experience successfully developing accurate reports, queries, and other data outputs within Business Information (BI), Analytics, or Query tools such as Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL, Crystal Reports, Tableau, Business Objects, Microsoft Power BI; Experience in relational database application development, including knowledge of tables, packages, stored procedures, triggers, views.; Ability to identify problems, evaluate alternatives, and implement effective solutions; Experience creating reports for end-users; Demonstrated ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with a diverse constituency of faculty, staff, and students; Excellent oral, written and interpersonal skills required; Enjoy working in a fast-paced and team-based environment.
Experience with EAB Navigate and other student success management systems; Experience working with Ellucian Banner; Knowledge of Java, SAS; Experience working in a community college or other higher education setting.
