Job description

As a member of the Fox Online and Digital Learning team and reporting directly to the Director of Instructional Design, the Instructional Technologist & Designer will provide internal and external client support for the Fox School of Business at both the graduate and undergraduate levels. The incumbent will provide support for faculty and staff working with the department in the training and creation of digital materials to facilitate classes and learning. This position will create and interact with a variety of tools and digital media including high-end video, websites, and interactive Storyline modules. The incumbent should be extremely confident in their computer skills and the Microsoft office suite. Experience with the Adobe suite of tools and basic web development experience is preferred. A university background in Instructional Design, Instructional Technology or UX design is expected. They will provide web-conferencing training to faculty, clients, and facilitators in preparation of classes or workshops. They will provide live support during Zoom sessions and in-person sessions as assigned. Perform other duties as assigned.

Required Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s Degree in Instructional Technology/Design or closely related field with at least 1 year of instructional design experience including online delivery of self-produced content. Robust knowledge and experience using web or teleconferencing software, preferably Zoom.  Experience should also include Windows and Mac OS, Camtasia, Articulate, Adobe E-Learning Suite, Video Editing software, Canvas or similar Learning Management System, and real-time web conferencing. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

Required Skills and Abilities:

  • Ability to work nights and weekends
  • Knowledge of online instructional design techniques
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • Familiarity with resolving remote connectivity issues.
  • Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively with a diverse group of individuals.
  • Demonstrated expertise in instructional design software, including Camtasia, Articulate, Adobe E-Learning Suite, Video Editing software, and other design tools.

Please note this position will temporarily work remotely, the duration of remote work will be at the discretion of Temple University and the department.
