Research, Innovation & Impact at the University of Arizona is in search of an Information Specialist, K-Map (extended temporary employment). This position will conduct web data mining to collect, clean, and aggregate data of UArizona researchers to provide a more comprehensive set of reporting on RII Core Facilities activities and impact including Core Facilities-related proposals, grants, and events such as workshops, seminars, class lectures, tours, outreach, etc. The University of Arizona is home to a host of research resources called core facilities or cores—highly specialized testbed facilities available for use by faculty, students, and scientists in government and industry. The core facilities provides users with access not only to the latest instrumentation, but also to experienced staff with expertise in designing and conducting experiments and analyzing data.
This is an Extended Temporary Employment (ETE) position expected to last 6-24 months. Position maybe considered for extension dependent on future funding, work performance, and/or departmental need.

Duties & Responsibilities:
- Web data mining of UA researchers on Core Facilities-related proposals, grants, and events.
- Clean and aggregate data for integration with Core Facilities KPI reporting requirements.
- Meet with key Core Facilities stakeholders to identify, test and refine key data points.
- Additional duties may be assigned.
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology field and 1 year of relevant work experience.
- Web data mining experience (collecting, cleaning and aggregatingdata)
- Experience with Python programming and MongoDB databases
- Experience with University Network and Central Systems
