The Lifeguard ensure thesafety of all natatorium patrons through patron surveillance preventativelifeguarding The Lifeguard will work with others to perform rescues and firstaid in accordance to the Student Recreation Center Emergency Action Plan in waterand/or land when necessary. They will also inspect the aquatics center andlocker rooms, alleviate issues and report unsafe conditions or equipment to theManager on shift or Coordinator of Aquatics and Safety. The lifeguard willclearly articulate, enforce, and educate members and guests on facility rulesand regulations. Lastly, they will maintain a clean and safe aquatics center byperforming assigned light cleaning duties and taking initiative to performneeded tasks based on the activities of the day.Qualifications:
Must have and maintain current American Red Cross Lifeguarding, CPR for the Professional Rescuer, and Certification.
Must be able to pass the UToledo REC Lifeguard skills test.
