Job Duties (description): Rocket Ex/Group Instructor
Safely instruct an effective, creative group fitness class.
Provide quality guest experience to all patrons in class andto all Office of Recreational Services
Check email daily and communicate effectively withsupervisor through phone, email, text, or in
Responsible for communicating and contacting Rocket-Ex staffto retain substitutes for class.
Enforce all building and program policies and procedures asit pertains to the Fitness/Wellness
Train (team teach) new employees.
Attend and participate in all trainings and meetings withinemployee group and department wide,
including Leadership and Training Week: August 23-27, 2021.
Ensure client safety at all times, providing modificationsfor all fitness levels and abilities.
Respond to emergencies in strict accordance to the StudentRecreation Center Emergency Action
Other duties as assigned by the Office of RecreationalServices.
Qualifications/Knowledge,Skills & Abilities:
Current certification in American Red Cross CPR-PR/AED/First Aid.
Must possess a passion for fitness, a mature attitude and willingness to learn.
Must possess current primary group fitness certification or format specific certification (Zumba, Spinning, Yoga, Pilates, Turbokick, WERQ, Cize, etc.).
Ability to work independently.
Applicants must be motivated to help others to achieve their fitness goals.
Demonstrated skill in quality guest service, communication and organizational and analytical skills.
Work a maximum of 20 hours per week during the academic year
