Physical Requirements:

Requires heavy lifting lifting, pushing or pulling of objects over 50 pounds.


Monday – Friday; 7:00 am – 3:30 pm; and will include some weekends and on-call.

Job Summary:

Completes primarily simple & routine animal caretaking duties; & as requested by Group Leader or Supervisor, cage wash activities which may occur up to 20% of the time of overall job duties & responsibilities.

There is currently more than one position open for the animal Care Technician I. To be considered for each position, you must apply for each position. One application will not be considered for all positions.

Preferred Education/Experience:

Twelve months of animal husbandry (laboratory animal husbandry preferred) or equivalent experience directly related to care, use, handling and treatment of animals.
