Able to lift, push or pull object over 50 lbs. Able to climb stairs and move a variety of types of furniture. Employee may occasionally be exposed to elements, weather, and other non-office or inside building type conditions.Shift:
1st shift. Employee is considered an Essential Employee therefore must work regardless of University closings. In addition, student move in and move out weekends are mandatory. (7:30am – 3:45pm)Job Summary:
The Maintenance Mechanic II position will perform the following job responsibilities for apartments and residence halls maintained by Auxiliary Services:
*Move and deliver furniture and other items requested for apartment and residence hall room set up, maintain and repair furniture, repair and replace blinds, responsible for inventory control of furniture and blinds. Keep workshop and vehicles supplied with appropriate tools needed.
*Review work order requests received electronically. Ensure job is done accurately and in a timely fashion.
*Provide excellent customer service by providing customers with explanation of work being to complete work order request
*Assist building operators or other supervisor with maintenance requests as needed.
*Other duties as assigned.
- Must be reliable and dependable, excessive absences will not be tolerated.
