Shift:Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 5:00 pm
Job Summary:The Department of Ophthalmology Patient Relations Assistant is expected to be a leader in customer service, treating all patients with respect, anticipating patient needs, managing patient wait time expectations and resolving patient complaints in a positive manner. The Patient Relations Assistant will be proficient in patient registration and scheduling and knowledge of the tools used in registration, including ensuring patient insurance eligibility. This person will be knowledgeable about HIPAA compliance and demonstrate proficiency in patient consents and management of medical records. We are a busy practice and seek to hire people who provide excellent customer service as efficiently as possible.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:Keyboarding and basic knowledge of registration.

Preferred Education/Experience:Four or more years related patient registration and/or insurance verification experience preferred.
