Physical Requirements:This position requires regularly lifting, pushing, and/or pulling objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds; standing or walking with objects weighing up to 10 pounds; performing tasks with repetitive motions; and/or working confined spaces; intermittently standing or walking with objects weighing up to 25 pounds; and occasionally sitting at a computer workstation for extended periods of time and/or working at heights above four feet. Also involves some exposure to risk of injury from moving, lifting, or positioning patients, equipment, or materials, and exposure to loud noises and cuts/punctures.
Shift:Various shifts available at 37.5 hours per week; primary shift will be discussed at the time of interview. Must be able to work days, evenings, weekends, holidays, call, and overtime if required to meet job and departmental business needs.
Job Summary:This position will provide support to all clinical areas as it relates to the ordering, delivery and stocking of all patient equipment and supplies.
The primary responsibilities will include: accurate inventory control; verification of receipts and entry into a computer system; pulling and recording all recalled products; and tag, document, and deliver all capital equipment purchases. In addition, this position will organize work areas to support clinician’s requests by listening, understanding, and following through.
Tech will ensure work environment is clean and safe; attend and participate in all emergency requests and codes; coordinate the needs for training on the supply system; and adhere to all policies and procedures.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:The ideal candidate will possess the following skills: exceptional customer service, planning and organization, time management, attention to detail, listening, and communication. In addition, we are looking for someone with the ability to perform under pressure and meet deadlines.
Does this position have supervisory responsibilities? :No
Preferred Education/Experience:High school diploma and at least two full years of related healthcare and/or inventory, stocking, receiving, or warehousing employment experience preferred. Knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, and point of use systems is also an asset.
