Physical Requirements:

Light lifting up to 10 lbs. Perform clinical research procedures with research participants in a clinical setting.

Shift:

Varied shift: Monday-Friday, may be Monday-Friday, between 6:00 am to 6:00 pm, may be 3 days/week, 12 hours/day plus 4 hours on additional day OR 8 hrs/day for a week. Scheduled hours are dependent on unit census and will vary week to week, but minimum hours worked each week is 40 hrs.

Job Summary:

The Center for Clinical and Translational Science (CCTS) is looking to recruit a Nurse Clinician to support clinical research at the the University of Kentucky. This position will be expected to offer investigators utilizing the CCTS a means to conduct their research protocols in a cost efficient manner that is compliant with all federal, state and local requirements related to clinical research. Skill set must include: efficiency in phlebotomy, general nursing procedures and starting IVs. We are looking a team player who can adapt to a changing environment and is able to prioritize and multitask work loads.

Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:

Knowledge of clinical research and regulatory requirements related to human subjects research. Excellent oral and written communication, organizational and interpersonal skills required. Computer MS Windows, and Office.

Preferred Education/Experience:

BSN, 2 years of experience in nursing.
