Requires are least a high school diploma or equivalent. Please contact your Human Resources office for an evaluation of education/experience in lieu of the required minimum qualifications.

Position Summary:

This position performs manual and clerical duties related to shipping , receiving, inspecting, sorting, releasing and delivering material, supplies and equipment for FMD shops and the campus community. Activities are generally procedural and this position has no formal supervisory duties over other employees. Heavy lifting may be needed and operation of general warehouse machinery including forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, delivery van and trucks are needed.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

*Ability to read and follow verbal and written instructions.
*Ability to operate forklift and pallet jack operations.
*Knowledge of UGA Campus and departments.
*Ability to provide customer services in a friendly and tactful manner.
*Ability to keep routine clerical records.

Physical Demands:

*Stand, walk, climb stairs, bend, squat, lift up to 40 lbs frequently, work with hands above the head, and work from a standard and/or extended ladder.
