Position Summary:

The FAU Center for Online and Continuing Education are seeking several Online Course Quality Reviewer to support our efforts to move and maintain high-quality courses to an online format and perform online course quality assurance.

The Online Course Quality Reviewer will support the instructional design staff in converting face-to-face and hybrid courses to a remote/online delivery format and perform online course quality assurance tasks. They will also actively support the designing, building and updating of courses in a variety of delivery formats and perform online course quality assurance tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree or higher from an accredited institution with a concentration in Educational Technology, Instructional Technology, Information Technology, Professional Development, or related area and two years of experience in instructional technology, instructional design, quality review or related field required.

Quality Matters Certified in Higher Ed Peer Reviewer Course (PRC) required.

Record of positive team spirit, flexibility and attention to detail required.

Outstanding customer service skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced, changing work environment are essential to success in this position.

Preferred Skills and Training:

Expert understanding of the quality matters rubric standards.

Ability to recognize, suggest, and implement improvements for online courses to meet the Quality Matters rubric standards.

Knowledge of instructional design theories and frameworks.

Basic media post-production skills.

Ability to complete work on a short timeline.

High level of proficiency in the use of the Canvas LMS.

Experience collaborating successfully with faculty/subject matter experts.

Knowledge of copyright and accessibility standards for online course delivery.

Ability to work autonomously and efficiently according to a project management plan.

Proficiency in the use of Webex, Mediasite, and Microsoft Teams for live lectures, collaboration, and recording/posting course lecture content.

Quality Matters Master Reviewer Certification (MRC).

Online Learning Consortium training.

Salary:

$20.00 - $27.00 per hour
