Position Summary

The School of Journalism at Michigan State University is seeking outstanding candidates for a fixed-term (non-tenure stream) Instructor faculty position in journalism and mass media. This position is part-time. Primary responsibility will be teaching either online or campus classes.

Responsibilities will include some combination of the following: teaching a course or courses in journalism and media that students can apply in careers in news media and other industries.

Appointment will be for summer semester, beginning summer 2021. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications. Interested candidates should apply via the MSU job application website at http://www.careers.msu.edu/.

Required Degree

Masters -Journalism, Mass Communication or related field

Minimum Requirements

Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication or related field. Professional experience in journalism and mass communication or related area; commitment to working as part of a team; and excellent communication and leadership skills.

Desired Qualifications

Teaching experience is desired.
