Description:

The Office of Academic and Student Affairs invites applications and nominations for a part time administrative appointment as Director of Academic Technology & Innovation.  The Director is a 9-month position with potential summer employment.  The Director will work with college administrators, faculty, and students to ensure delivery of innovative, academically rigorous, dynamic, inclusive educational programs, across instructional delivery platforms. At the core of this role will be integration of emerging technologies, instructional infrastructure, and contemporary pedagogy to create an engaging remote and face-to-face student experience that maximizes accessibility and permits intellectual and personal growth in HHP courses and academic programs.  The Director will work with the Associate Dean for Academic & Student Affairs to develop a sustainable plan for integration of Artificial Intelligence (AI) initiatives in curricular, co-curricular, and student success activities, and will work with departments to grow new academic programs.  The Director will also work with the Associate Dean for Academic & Student Affairs and the Director of Enrollment Management & Operations for HHPs online and distance education programs to advance the long-range strategic priorities of the college’s online and distance education endeavors. 


Qualifications:

Required Qualifications

The successful candidate will be a permanent HHP faculty member (non-tenure track or tenure-track / tenured), who has (1) demonstrated innovation and excellence in teaching, (2) expertise in implementation of academic technology in multiple instructional platforms, (3) previous administrative experience with budgetary and supervisory responsibilities, (4) outstanding leadership and communication skills, and (5) expertise in online program and course development.

Preferred Qualifications

Preference will be given to candidates who can articulate an ambitious vision for innovation in HHP’s residential and distance education programs that reflects a clear understanding of HHP’s academic programs and is compatible with departmental, college, and university priorities.
