Job Description:

Research Implementation and Analytics
Support for the Institute for Advanced Learning Technologies
Collaborate with College faculty to build web and mobile applications to collect and analyze data in support of their research efforts. Provide expert data mining support. Design and development of reporting solutions to provide faculty and other stakeholders with the information required to better identify research trends and patterns to inform decision-making. Develop public facing websites for the dissemination of research data with included visualizations as directed by project needs.

Web Development Coordination and Measurement
Plan and develop website designs that mesh with the current College goals and strategy. Work with stakeholders to promote content ideation and prepare copy for the specific purpose of communicating the achievements and goals of the University, the College, and the degree program areas. Refine content that is search-engine optimized for the college’s web presence. Mockup new site designs based on usability case studies and end-user requirements. consistent look and feel throughout all web properties. Audit current content on webpages and edit or format to meet end-user needs. Implement inquiry forms and track progress.
Conduct ongoing user testing to gauge effectiveness of websites. Gather data from both user testing and Google Analytics reports to make data driven decisions. Stay abreast of new technologies in the web design field that improve site usability and productivity in developing and/or maintaining websites. Regularly review and critically compare CoE’s website to high-quality websites of other academic institutions. Analyze data to determine best information architecture, including menus, page layout, and relationship between subsites and pages. Devise and evaluate methods and procedures for collecting data, such as surveys, opinion polls, or questionnaires, or arrange to obtain existing data.

Web Development for Targeted Marketing and Measurement
Works with local departments to collect content for website publication. Provides support for the collection of insights and analytics related to the impact of implemented marketing campaigns, and other communications products/output. Collaborates with team on campaign-specific website design and build projects. These pages and associated marketing materials (ad campaigns designed and co-developed with Communications staff) are produced regularly for the College and degree/certificate programs.

End-User Support
Offer content management system (CMS) training to program coordinators, graduate assistants and anyone else responsible for updating their area’s content (Wordpress). Respond to end-user questions and problems related to the website and CMS usage.

Performs other duties as assigned by the Director of E-Learning, Technology, and Communications and the Dean and Sr. Associate Dean of the College.

This position works in the areas of front-end and middle-ware development and will be working closely with faculty affiliated with our Institute for Advanced Technologies (https://ialt.education.ufl.edu/). Some examples of the associated types of work for this role would include the following projects:

This position has included projects related to development for Oculus (virtual reality-based interventions), simulation and game development, data mining and machine learning.

Expected Salary:

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.

Minimum Requirements:

Bachelor's degree and one year of appropriate experience. Appropriate college coursework may substitute at an equivalent rate for the required experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

● Bachelor's Degree in computer science or web design and online communications or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience
● Minimum of three years experience in developing websites and promotional activities
● Proven experience in the development, execution and assessment of complex web and application development
