This position performs entry-level duties that will assist the staff of the Film and Digital Media Center with general services. Help with clerical support for classes, with equipment tracking and inventory for film production, and with general assistance for special events and open houses. The position may also require students to perform customer service duties that require handling and routing inquiries about our programs from current students, alumni, and potential students. (19 hours/week, specific days and times are flexible/vary)Responsibilities
- Work with site administrators to keep track of film equipment inventory.
- Set-up, break down and organize equipment in the film studio and lock-up.
- Help manage the flow of traffic and paperwork during events such as information sessions, open houses, and classes.
- Ensure that every person receives outstanding service by providing a friendly environment: greeting and acknowledging everyone, accurately noting their contact information, and inquiring whether their needs were met.
- Communicate effectively in written and in verbal messages.
- Accurate work habits for scanning documents, filing, data entry, making copies, and assisting staff with special projects as requested.
- Maintain orderly appearance of work areas.
