Advertised Job Summary:This position has two primary purposes: (1) Provides administrative and research support for the South Carolina Citizens Review Panel, and (2) Assists with development and delivery of training for child welfare professionals.
Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):Master’s degree and 4 years related program experience, or bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience. Experience must include a position in child welfare and participation in child protection proceedings.
Preferred Qualifications:Prefer experience in developing and adapting curriculum. Prefer experience in conducting training or public speaking. Prefer experience in serving as staff for committees or working with volunteer groups. Prefer degree to be related to social work, human services, or behavioral sciences. Prefer experience in use of technology for distance learning or to enhance learning.
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:Must be familiar with state and federal laws and DSS procedures related to investigation and intervention in child protection cases. Must have solid knowledge of family court process in child protection cases. Must have excellent skills in research, policy analysis, and verbal and written communication.
