Job Summary
Supervises all Career and Internship Advisors (including those who instruct courses) on a particular campus. Assists in setting the direction for the Advising team. Facilitates strategy, training and outreach to the assigned teams. Provides mock interviews for students and advanced job seeking guidance. Assists with departmental event planning. Meets with faculty and employers to serve assigned students.


  1. Supervises assigned staff members in various on and off site locations
  2. Oversees the experiential education program for the university and works closely with or as a part of the Quality Enhancement Steering committee
  3. Provides professional development and ongoing advising training to Career and Internship Advisors
  4. Works with the Employer Relations team to offer customized programming to assigned colleges
  5. Works with Deans and Department Chairs to craft college-specific career development plans, including course integration
  6. Provides strategy, training and advisement to staff members
  7. Provides individual advising sessions for assigned students in areas such as mock interviews, job search strategies, advanced assistance, etc.
  8. Researches, contacts and coordinates with employer partners and finds ways to engage employers in the work of the assigned colleges
  9. Ensures Career and Internship advisors are effectively managing time so that the internship and co-op program runs smoothly
  10. Participates in office committees and campus committees related to career development, career curricula, etc.
  11. May be assigned to teach in Co-op courses or other career-related courses

Required Qualifications
Educational Requirements
Master's degree from an accredited institution of higher education

Required Experience
Three (3) years related work experience to include supervisory experience

Experience with career coaching and advisement

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities
Able to understand career development principles and trends in the field Able to form cohesive teams that are productive and collaborative Able to build and maintain relationships with faculty, department chairs, and Deans and remain responsive to the changing needs within the assigned college(s) Ability to strategize and goal set with a team Able to handle multiple tasks or projects at one time meeting assigned deadlines

Excellent interpersonal, initiative, teamwork, problem solving, independent judgment, organization, communication (verbal and written), time management, project management and presentation skills Proficient with computer applications and programs associated with the position (i.e. Microsoft Office suite, Handshake, InterviewStream) Strong attention to detail and follow up skills Strong customer service skills and phone and e-mail etiquette
