Position Summary:

This recruitment is for Temporary Custodian positions through UCI's internal temporary service.
UCI Temporary Employment Services (TES) is continuously seeking applicants to assist in filling the temporary needs of the UC Irvine Campus in Irvine and the UC Irvine Medical Center in Orange. We recruit for this position on an on-going basis in order to build a talent pool of potential candidates

Compensation Range:

$17.30 or more depending on the responsibilities and skill requirements of each temporary assignment.

Required:

Custodian:
Responsible for the cleaning of UC Irvine and UC Irvine Medical Center facilities. Duties will include but are not limited to: daily floor care, dusting, bathroom cleaning and disinfecting kitchen cleaning, cleaning of fixtures and furniture, interior and exterior trash removal, window cleaning, and additional tasks as necessary (i.e. furniture moving). To ensure all facilities are maintained at a high level of cleanliness. Responsibilities may include weekend work during open and closing and during peak work periods, and may also include after-hours emergency response and cleaning. Requires 2 years or more of custodial experience.

Senior Custodian:
Perform various skilled and semi-skilled custodial duties on the UCI campus and UCI Medical Center. Operates cleaning equipment (ex. floor buffer/stripper and power-washer) and ensures area is clean. Responsible for the security of an area and can have possession of master keys. May also serve as work leader for a small group of custodians. Requires a valid California Driver's License.

Preferred:

Some temporary assignments may require clearance of health physical or require a valid California Driver's License to driving university vehicles.
