Position Details:

Summary of Duties:

The Graduate and Recruitment coordinator position is responsible for performing a variety of complex clerical projects and assignments in support of the Department of History. The duties of this position include but are not limited to: organizing and managing all aspects of academic courses (schedule courses, ensure Instructors and TA assignments are scheduled and have blackboard access, add/drop students from courses, room assignments for courses, oversee course evaluations and manage textbook orders); coordinate the graduate program (admissions, provide guidance to students, schedule master’s exams and PhD defenses, collect data and compile for annual review, and point of reference for Graduate School paperwork and deadlines); coordinate recruitment events and serve as point of contact for Department recruitment inquiries, coordinate department internship program, and oversee undergraduate scholarship and award applications.

Required Qualifications:

  • High school graduation or equivalent AND two years of experience in the program specialty OR equivalent education/experience.

  • Two years of full-time experience working with student records in a higher educational setting or equivalent.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office software, specifically Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Demonstrated ability to adapt and be flexible in a changing environment.

  • Demonstrated willingness to learn new skills and take on new challenges.

  • Recent demonstrated knowledge and understanding of WSU policies and procedures.
