Senior Database Administrator

Position is full-time calendar year, permanent.

The University of Rhode Island is seeking a collaborative, capable and service-oriented Oracle DBA to join the team in supporting the University’s essential database infrastructure. Successful applicants will have strong technical skills paired with a desire to use their skills to further the mission of the university. The ideal candidate will bring a fresh perspective to the team. They may have experience working in cloud-based platforms, but they must have the desire to evolve their skills to keep current with technology.

This critical position reports to the Director of ITS Infrastructure Services and works closely with distributed IT staff throughout the university, with a primary focus on supporting the Oracle database environment that hosts the university’s PeopleSoft development and production databases. This position is currently working remotely, however, it is advised that candidates reside within a commutable distance of Kingston, Rhode Island, in the event the university requires onsite presence.
