Department Description:The UNC Lineberger Comprehensive Cancer Center, founded in 1975, is one of 40 National Cancer Institute (NCI)-designated comprehensive cancer centers in the country. Position Description:This position will provide support of the day-to-day operations of the business office. Due to the increase in the number of laboratories and research projects administered by the Cancer Center, it is necessary to provide increased oversight and management of the accounts payable function of the business office.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:High school diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.
Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:Data entry experience and use of financial systems. Demonstrated understanding and knowledge of: Excel, excellent customer service, professionalism, organizational skills and excellent oral and written communication and interpersonal skills.
Preferred Qualifications:A general knowledge of University business policies and procedures. Prefer well organized individual who is flexible and has the ability to multi-task and prioritize under pressure. Ability to effectively manage deadlines. Attention to detail, good judgment, and ability to communicate on many levels. Has at least 5 or more years’ data entry experience.
