Position Summary:

The Department of Cell Biology and Physiology invites applications for a non-tenure track faculty position at the rank of Research Assistant Professor to work with a dynamic group of pulmonary biologists studying different aspects of airway inflammation respiratory disease.

Priority will be given to applicants whose research experience focuses on infectious pathogens present in the cystic fibrosis lung and background experience in medicinal chemistry, pharmacology, and drug discovery.

Responsibilities will include overseeing project management, developing independent projects, writing manuscripts, and providing mentorship and guidance to laboratory personnel. Other research aspects of the position include performing tissue culture, mouse behavioral assays, and, analytical chemistry.

Educational Requirements:

Candidates must have a PhD, MD, or equivalent degree.

Qualifications and Experience:

Candidates must have a minimum of
3 years of postdoctoral training in a relevant discipline and previous experience with high-throughput screening assay design, development, optimization, execution and quality control, specifically for novel targets and compounds for pharmacological activity.
