The Division of Comprehensive Oral Health houses several disciplines including, Periodontology, Dental Hygiene, Comprehensive Dentistry, Operative Dentistry/ BioMaterials, Prosthodontics, and Endodontics. The Division Chair and vice-chair manage the operating procedures for the entire division. The Division of Comprehensive Oral Health consists of full-time faculty, part-time faculty, phased retired faculty and adjunct faculty; full-time and part-time staff; DDS, MSc and PhD students; clinical/research fellows and visiting scholars. The primary purpose of the Patient Relations Representative is to provide patient relations support, clerical administration tasks, and patient financial system support rotating between all Graduate Clinics: Operative Dentistry, Prosthodontics, Periodontology and Endodontics. This position requires the individual to be proficient in, and have the ability to, work independently in the performance of multiple tasks. These tasks include patient admission coordination, patient appointment scheduling, patient record management, creation and management of provider schedules for graduate residents in the EPIC, and maintenance of patient accounting functions for the Graduate Clinics. This position functions as the primary point of contact for the daily patient account functions, cashiering, addressing and resolution of insurance inquiries, reconciliation of patient account balances, and perform the end of day reconciliation for depositing the clinic’s accounts receivables. This position is also responsible for any clerical work designated by the Graduate Program Directors or direct supervisor.Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency; or demonstrated possession of the competencies necessary to perform the work.Essential Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Demonstrated ability to work with confidential and sensitive information.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate and direct front desk support activities and manages a wide variety of records, reports, and files.
Demonstrated ability to develop new processes or procedures relevant to the support needs of the division.
