Position Summary:

The Application Programmer is responsible for developing and/or supporting applications for the business, research, and/or instructional functions of the UNC Adams School of Dentistry with a defined/limited scope. This position will determine the logical flow of applications and develop program code. This position works with other application developers in assessing the needs of customers and developing technical solutions of limited complexity. Detailed specifications are provided for more complex applications. Duties may include development, installation, and modification of application programs and/or packaged programs, program testing, and documentation of programming on a variety of platforms.

Educational Requirements:

Masters or Bachelors and 0-2 years of related experience; or an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Qualifications and Experience:

- Experience with VB.6, VB.Net, Cold Fusion and jQuery
- Experience using Version Control Software
- Experience and knowledge developing code in a development, test and production environment
- Experience or training in Python, PHP, SQL programming, Java Script and HTML
- Experience or training using Integrated Development Environment
