Temporary Day Laborer
TemporaryEssential Job Duties:
The employee will be required to perform manual labor including working in tobacco, horticultural crops, and other farm related duties. Agricultural research experience is preferred.
Transportation to and from work is the responsibility of the employee. The employee may be exposed to all weather conditions. The position requires a strenuous physical effort in many duty areas. Stooping, bending, climbing, lifting, pulling and walking are all routinely involved in conducting activities of this position. Fertilizer and seed bags, as well as other items weighing from 50 to 100 pounds are often lifted and carried short distances in the daily performance of duties. The employee will assist with data collection and must be able to follow verbal & written instructions.
The normal work schedule is 40 hours per week. Hours can be less as deemed appropriate by the supervisor. Employees may be asked to work a flexible schedule to meet labor needs to complete agricultural projects satisfactorily.Is Time Limited:
