We are currently seeking an ADN Instructor who will advance the institutionâs proud tradition of excellence in academics, student life and community service.
The Opportunity
You: As a professional nurse, you have a passion for helping others. Youâve cared for many patients, and now you want to help even more patients by passing on your legacy of knowledge and skills to the next generation of nurses.
Your mission: To teach students in our Associate Degree in Nursing program.
A typical day: No two days will be alike. Youâll be teaching and learning, advising students and developing professionally. One day, you might spend the morning evaluating student textbooks, developing a syllabus and helping one of your students work through an academic issue. That afternoon you might travel to one of our Centers of Excellence for a class where youâll be engaging and motivating your students.

Licensed as a registered nurse in Texas and hold a Masterâs degree in nursing or a Masterâs degree with a minimum of six (6) hours of graduate level nursing courses relevant to the clinical area of responsibility. (Official transcript(s) conferring degree must accompany the application).
EXPERIENCE
Three (3) years of current professional clinical work experience in the nursing field.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
Willing and able to teach day or evening classes at a number of sites around the city
Knowledge and skill in a variety of computer usage and software are required
Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse professional, community, and student population
Possess good organizational and planning skills
Demonstrate sensitivity to students with diverse academic, socio-economic, cultural and ethnic backgrounds and students with disabilities.
Demonstrated ability to inspire and motivate students in a learning-centered environment
Self-disciplined and able to effectively manage others
