Interns will have a role in February Orientation as well as begin work preparing for fall Middview (fall orientation at Middlebury).

Key responsibilities include developing a vision and schedule for Orientation, communicating with new students and their families, managing the orientation website, social media, and other communications, planning and assisting with events, managing complex logistics, and training and supervising other student staff. These positions offer employment from both during the academic year, and the summer. Interns are expected to work 37.5 hours per week during the summer (with over-time virtually assured during the week of MiddView), if hired on as a summer intern.

Mission
The mission of our orientation programs are to assist new students and their families with their transition to Middlebury College, to begin to engage students as members of an inclusive campus community, and to launch new students on a meaningful educational journey.

*Help create and implement assessment tools and evaluation processes for new students and family members

*Be willing, if able, to lift heavy boxes, move materials, stuff packets, and provide general assistance as needed

*Help as needed with additional duties that emerge over the course of planning and coordinating orientation

*Extensive knowledge of Middlebury College and its history, students, academics, campus life, and traditions
