Required Qualifications: Applicants must specifically address how they meet these required qualifications to meet the requirements of the position.:

Possess up-to-date experience in journalism or communications with a track record of producing content in multiple formats including video, social media, podcasts, op-eds, speeches;
Demonstrate a mastery of Adobe Creative suite, multiple capture systems, live cast interfaces, and adjacent distribution software and channels
Demonstrate an understanding of sequential storytelling, distribution scheduling, and response adaptation;
Demonstrate experience in writing, storytelling and editing skills and is able to adapt writing style based on the message and intended audience;
Skill in operating office equipment, including copiers, scanners and computers
Knowledge and ability to use standard office management software including: PowerPoint, Microsoft Word, and Microsoft Excel
Ability to work under pressure, handle multi-task projects and complete work within established deadlines.
Ability to understand and carryout verbal and written instructions
Ability to communicate well verbally and in written form
Understand what makes content effective

Preferred Qualifications:

First-Responder and/or Military Experience
5 year(s) of progressive managerial roles in the content creation space involving internal and external communications
Experience in e-learning curriculum design and development
Possess a history of successfully managing dynamic team relationships.
Bachelor’s Degree in area of Film, Communication, or Journalism

Job Description:

The eLearning Content Director will be an audio-visual content creator and editor who will work with the eLearning LMS Director and eLearning Program Manager to put aspects of ALERRT training and instructor quality visual and audio material online. They will be responsible for helping to develop content for the ALERRT Learning Management System (LMS) under direction of the eLearning Program Manager. This will include online training, instructor recertification, instructor training resources, follow-on supplemental/maintenance training for in-person courses, and information podcasts for ALERRT users.

Job Duties:

Direct and create content for distribution via an eLearning platform as well as promotional and continuing education channels
Source and develop new channels of communication to a target audience to expand the message of the ALERRT Program
Internal auditing of created media to ensure consistency of message on all channels
Move easily between big picture thinking and managing relevant detail.
Contribute technical knowledge in area of audio and visual content.
Contribute to an environment where people and technology thrive together to accomplish more than they could apart.
