HIRING RANGE: $21.91-$23.33 per hour based on experience.

Coordinate and account for all revenue and related expense coming into the various Liberal Arts and Science, Engineering, Math and Social Sciences (SEMSS) offices and programs. Perform a variety of bookkeeping duties to ensure compliance with policies and procedures. Conduct customer communication operations for the Iowa Culinary Institute.Essential Functions:
Coordinate and control reservations, ticketing, and cash collection for all activities in the Liberal Arts and SEMSS departments including verifying accuracy, correcting errors, and posting to accounts using BANNER software. Coordinate marketing communications for the Iowa Culinary Institute special events. Develop and maintain systems to account for these activities.
Utilize the Purchasing system to initiate requisitions to purchase materials and supplies for faculty and staff. Review and verify source documents including; vendor invoices, employee expense reports, and requests for pay to ensure the proper accounting with Accounts Payable. Prepare journal transfers, budget transfers, and budget revisions as needed.
Meet with department managers to review budgets and current year activity to ensure the proper accounting in accordance with DMACC policies and procedures and any contract and grant restrictions that may apply.
Serve as timekeeper for work-study students, student workers in various Liberal Arts and SEMSS departments and temporary, special events. Provide work direction to non-regular, work-study, and/or student workers.
Process and account for any student payments received for specific activities in the Liberal Arts and SEMSS departments.
Perform other duties as assigned.Required Qualifications:
Associate degree in accounting (two additional years of related work experience may substitute for the Associate degree).
Two years experience in bookkeeping/accounting.
Strong communication skills.
Ability to plan, organize and manage time.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain a professional working relationship with a wide variety of individuals coming from diverse backgrounds.
Knowledge of current software applications.Desired Qualifications:
Strong customer service experience, preferably related to the hospitality industry.
Experience and commitment to working with diverse student populations.Physical Requirements:
