Position Summary:
This recruitment is for a Temporary Unit Service Coordinator position through UCI's internal temporary service.
The Unit Service Coordinator is responsible for coordinating and performing a broad range of clerical support functions in the nursing unit. Specific duties include performing reception functions, collecting and compiling patient data, assembling medical records, and assisting with patient admission/discharge. Performs routine patient care functions as needed and will perform other related duties as required. Shifts are either scheduled from 7:00am-7:30pm or 7:00pm-7:30am.
Compensation Range: $19.65/hr.
Required:
- Must be able to work variable shifts including nights, weekends, and holidays
- Prior work administrative/clerical experience, preferably in a medical setting
- Ability to read, write and communicate effectively in English
Preferred:
- Bilingual skills in English and Spanish and/or Vietnamese
- Understanding of medical terminology and Universal Precautions

The majority of our temporary positions are Monday - Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m., however, we also have occasional part-time, weekend and evening hours available.
