Job will require extended periods of sitting using a computer, and occasionally lift, pushing, and pulling equipment weight 10 lbs.

Monday – Friday; 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM; and rarely may require working weekend or evening hours.

Research Information Services is looking for a self motivated person to collaborate on projects that will automate business processes and eliminate inefficient processes across the Research enterprise. Responsibilities for the Research Software Developer I will include meeting with all levels of supported staff collecting information pertaining to requested projects. Interface with staff campus-wide to determine existing systems that may already satisfy a request. Perform data modeling, normalization, prototyping and assisting users in development of business rules. Determine logic and perform coding, testing, and debugging. Participate in test plans and communicate with the product owner to improve the quality of the application. Troubleshoot reported issues, track system defects, and debug applications.
