Physical Requirements:The essential functions for the Nurse Clinical position includes the ability to lift, carry, push, and pull 50-100 pounds of force occasionally and 25-50 pounds of force frequently; as well as stand, walk and sit for long periods of time. The work conditions may involve exposure to communicable diseases, hazards of radiation, and injury from intractable patients or sharp instruments.
Shift:9p-7:30a, four nights per week with call
Job Summary:The Service Line Manager Assistant supports the patient care manager (PCM) whose human resource span of control exceeds acceptable UKHC standards. He/She will provide supervision, coaching, mentoring and opportunities for growth to nursing staff and assist in the day to day management of the Operating Room. The assistant assists with scheduling, payroll management, monitoring of staff competencies, evaluation of staff performance, and special projects as assigned by the PCM. He/she may serve as the manager for clerical staff as appropriate on the assigned unit(s). Increased supervision and staff coaching/mentoring is associated with decreased staff turnover and improved patient outcomes.
Skills / Knowledge / Abilities:BLS for the provider issued by the American Heart Association that is valid through at least 6 months of initial employment date plus any required unit specific competencies or certifications.
