Job Summary:

Researchers in the School of Information Science and the Human Development Institute are seeking one full time graduate research assistant for the 2021-2022 academic year to support the IMLS-funded project, Services for Children of ALL Abilities in Libraries: An Exploration (SCALE).

The position will require 20-hours of research-related activity per week during the academic year and is fully funded (i.e. includes stipend, tuition waiver and insurance).

The research assistant will play an essential role in the collection and analysis of qualitative data. Responsibilities will include video recording and coding of public library programs as well as conducting and coding interviews with children’s librarians.

The ideal candidate for the position is able to travel to research sites in Kentucky, organized, flexible with scheduling, willing to work with a team of researchers, and has some interest in qualitative research.
