The Rapha Clinic of West Georgia (RCWG) offers quality medical and dental services in a five-county area of West Georgia with a caring spirit to the uninsured; empowering self-respect, autonomy, and responsibility for making positive changes through Christ. Due to professional providers volunteering time, Rapha serves other neighbors who have little, if any, other viable means of getting healthcare. The clinic also focuses on one of the area’s health disparities each calendar year and has started a new holistic food production project to improve overall health of patients.

Job Summary

The candidate upon employment will have direct experience in assisting in the relational interaction administration of patient care for the clinic. The position is a communicative agent for clinic and provides patient care and support while maintaining patient confidentiality. Strong relational and customer service skills are essential.

Responsibilities

    Candidate will welcome and interact with patients and serve as a host to answer basic questions and to assist in lowering of anxiety or stress since many of our patients have not been in a medical clinic in years. (35 %)

    Position will confirm appointments and provide reminders for clinic visits and prescription pick-ups. (10%)

    Assistant will review clinic files and coordinate next follow-up and re-certification dates for continuity of care and assist patients in applying for Medicaid denial. (10 %)

    Assist patients with formative and /or summative surveys with clinic tablet devices for data analytics. (5%)

    Assist organization with patient interviews and success stories development. (5%)

    Coordinate patient schedules for events or for marketing purposes and social media. (5%)

    Assist with the win-win wall implementation. (3%)

    Acts as a liaison or advocate to assist in their health plan. (5%)

    Works to assist volunteer prayer/ pastoral team to have access if patient wishes for prayer or counsel. (2%)

    Assist Grant Administrator with care, communication, and documentation. (10%)

    Candidate will serve to represent the organization while maintaining patient rapport.

    Act as a back-up for Front office staff when duties necessitate an extra person to assist. (10%)

    Keep your work area tidy and help clean patient areas as assigned.

    Always hold patient confidentiality and medical information with HIPAA and Protected Health Information (PHI) guidelines.

    Support the organization’s fundraising efforts by supporting the Rapha Clinic team, cultivating volunteers and potential donors and promoting our “60 Minutes with Rapha” tours.

    Attend and engage in staff meetings when present.

Work schedule expectations include a part-time 10-15 hours per week. Rapha Clinic of West Georgia expects that all employees arrive on-time. If an employee must be tardy or absent, notification to the direct Front Office Coordinator should be made prior to any missed time.

RCWG expects that all employees be dressed in business casual attire or a Rapha Clinic shirt. Clinical employees may wear scrubs. This position will be the front line for all patrons entering the clinic. Pleasant appearance, professionalism and a friendly personality will be expected at all times.

This position will be privileged to very important organizational information and will be expected to uphold the upmost confidentiality with any information obtained at all times.
