Position Summary:

Responsible for the creation, maintenance, and monitoring of data integration processes between various databases and applications. Additionally, this position will generate and distribute specific datasets to power-users as needed and will be responsible for frontend application development in one or more of the unit’s development environments.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies:

○Solid foundation in SQL, JavaScript, HTML, CSS.
○Experience with database development and data integration.
○A demonstrated ability as a self-starter with the ability to prioritize multiple projects and meet strict deadlines as part of a fast-paced problem-solving team, working with minimum supervision.
○Desire to work in a team environment.
○Excellent communication skills to explain technical issues to non-technical audiences.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Develop and troubleshoot legacy systems built using .Net, Jscript, JavaScript, and SQL. Develop and troubleshoot systems built using Angular, TypeScript, RestAPI’s, NoSQL, and Node.

Development and upkeep of campus data integration jobs using Microsoft SSIS. Development and upkeep of application data integration using SQL, JavaScript, and Jscript.

Develop, monitor, and maintain data integration processes from various sources into a Couchbase NoSQL environment.

Duties/Responsibilities:

Manage all data integration processes. These include integrations with several 3rd party vendors as well as PeopleSoft and OIR. This task includes working with end-users and clients to determine needs and limitations, scheduling work, and following through with the management of the project. Monitoring data processing infrastructure. Work with minimal oversight for data integration and processing tasks. Manage all tasks independently while making regular reports to unit leadership.

Build and maintain a suite of Java applications. OVPR has many custom applications used for specialized purposes. This position is responsible for maintaining this suite of applications and building new applications as needed.

Work as part of a programming team: developing and maintaining programming standards documentation, maintaining a standard development environment, work with other programmers to review code, and ensure that all deliverables meet OVPR’s coding standards.

Assist in the production and upkeep of OVPR workflow maps and BPMN diagrams. Assist other developers in the interpretation of these documents.
