Position Summary:

The graduate assistant will support activities of the Global Education unit. In coordination with Global Education staff, the position will be assisting with program promotion, application process matters, course registration, logistics, orientation, as well as responding to student questions. The position will also assist with applicant processing, maintain and update internal applicant databases, wait lists, organize and maintain student files, generate student emails and correspondence.

Relevant/Preferred Education, Experience, Licensure, Certification in Position:

Prior study, work, or volunteer abroad experience, currently enrolled as a full-time student in a Master’s or PhD program at UGA, experience using databases or student management systems, excellent interpersonal and communication (verbal and written) skills, experience with event planning and collaboration, attention to detail, high level of organization, and can work independently, strong tolerance of ambiguity and can adjust to a changing environment, appreciation for diversity and multiculturalism, maturity, high level of professionalism, creativity, be a self-starter, and can work in a fast-paced environment.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities and/or Competencies :

Strong technology skills: proficiency in PC based software (Microsoft Word, Powerpoint, Microsoft Excel).
