Job Description: The University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, located on the Anschutz Medical Campus, in Aurora, CO seeks an Assistant Professor C/T for its Comprehensive Care Program in the Department of Restorative Dentistry. Primary responsibilities include the following: teaching dental students in courses including dental materials, treatment planning, and restorative dentistry; co-directing courses in dental materials, treatment planning, case presentation, and operative dentistry; designing, planning and implementing courses in dental materials; supervising students and practicing dental medicine in school’s adolescent, transition, and comprehensive care clinics; and mentoring students, serving on admission committees, and serving as an advisor for SNDA. The classroom courses taught by this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • DSRE 5501 - Dental Anatomy Laboratory;
  • DSRE 5504 - Dental Materials 1;
  • DSRE 5503 - Dental Materials 2;
  • DSRE 5506 - Occlusion 1 Lecture;
  • DSRE 5507-Occlusion 1 lab;
  • DSRE 6610 - Clinical dental materials;
  • DISP 7107 - Clinical dental materials DISP;
  • DSRE 7712 - Implant Dentistry;
  • DSRE 8945 ,8946 -Treatment Planning and Case Presentation;
  • DSOP 6610: Seminars in restorative dentistry;
  • DISP 7216: Seminars In restorative dentistry (ISP class);
  • DISP 7203: Fixed Prosthodontics;
  • DISP And DSRE (7 series):Seminars in Dental Materials; and
Clinical patient courses at the Comprehensive Patient Care Clinic including the following: DISP 7205, DISP 8201, DSRE 6615, DSRE 7721, DSRE 7719, DSRE 8827.

Salary and Benefits:

The hiring rate (or budgeted rate) for this position has been established at $118,000.

The above salary rate represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the rate at the time of posting.

Minimum Requirements

    Doctor of Dental Surgery, Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry or foreign equivalent1 year of experience or education in advanced dental materials or material sciencesColorado original or academic dental licensure, or eligibility.
