Position Summary
This position provides oversight of some operational activities of the Lansing Community Assistant Dean’s Office and provides high level administrative support organizing various academic programs, course scheduling, and curriculum related matters. The curriculum coordinator assists in planning and operations of activities in the unit as well as ensures compliance with university requirements to ensure efficient operation. This position may require periodic travel between campus locations.
Unit Specific Education/Experience/SkillsKnowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired by completing a four-year college degree program in Education, Health Education, Educational Administration or a related field; six months to one to year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience and knowledge of curriculum in the area of employment; word processing, database, spreadsheet and presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Desired QualificationsProficiency in Google Docs, Microsoft Office software, JustInTimeMedicine. Demonstrates strong organization skills with attention to detail and ability to interpret information and creatively solve problems; exhibits flexibility and able to adapt to changing conditions; a self-starter who possesses good decision making skills and demonstrates the ability to work independently and on multiple projects simultaneously; ability to establish and maintain collegial, effective working relationships with, and provide superior service to faculty, staff and students; ability and desire to work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team, and experience working with faculty, staff, and students in an academic setting.
