Work Control Coordinator

Position Summary

This position will provide support for Building Services Business Office within Infrastructure Planning and Facilities. This position will support about 240 skilled trades and professional staff members as well as customer support for Building Services including customers, vendors, contractors, and consultants. Provides outstanding customer service; Receives, initiates and sets up service requests and project requests in FAMIS and MS Planner, manages various requests including work orders in FAMIS; runs various reports and enters and updates records in FAMIS as needed. Creates and distributes external notices. Coordinates kick off meetings and assists in follow up on action items. Responsible for the periodic information requests and updates to the IPF Emergency Procedures site and OneNote.

Unit Specific Education/Experience/Skills

Knowledge equivalent to that which normally would be acquired in the first two or three years in college, technical school or a related field; six months to one year of related and progressively more responsible or expansive work experience in customer service or in performing secretarial and administrative tasks, including experience with scheduling meetings, data entry, payroll processing, office machines, email and internet usage or in performing tasks related to the area of employment; experience in word processing, spreadsheet, mail merge, database, calendaring, publishing, and/or presentation software; or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Desired Qualifications

Prior work with a planning team, familiarity with processing work requests, and work flow documentation is preferred. Experience with work management systems (e.g. FAMIS).

A creative and innovative lifelong learner with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse population; able to problem solve within a collaborative team environment; ability to understand different perspectives while utilizing expert knowledge of the technical operations of the job.

Work Hours

NON-STANDARD/VARIABLE WORK HOURS: Monday through Friday 8:00am to 4:30pm and may require after-hours, weekend and holiday work.
