Advertised Job Summary:

As the Administrative Coordinator for Associate Deans in the College of Arts and Sciences (CAS), the employee is responsible for, but not limited to, planning and coordinating a variety of duties related to Academic Dean responsibilities and initiatives, internal and external correspondence and communication, collection and dissemination of information, data analysis and extraction, organization of faculty hiring activities and records, gathering and preparing files related to faculty review and fellowship processes, scheduling meetings, and travel planning. Serves as backup for the Dean’s Office Manager and Executive Assistant, supporting the Dean as necessary.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):

Bachelor’s degree and 6 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and other software or database management systems. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Knowledge of office procedures, practices and equipment. Ability to understand university policies and procedures that pertain to the position.
