Advertised Job Summary:

This position is located in the Administration and Emergency Management Bureau of the Division of Law Enforcement and Safety. The incumbent will prepare and submit documentation for all human resource actions involving new and existing employees; organize and submit promotional, salary adjustment, and other employee documentation for all new and existing Division employees; assist the Division’s Human Resources Manager in matters related to planning, implementing, and evaluating employee relations and human resources programs, practices, and policies; and assist as directed with general administrative support duties.

Minimum Qualifications (Classified and Unclassified positions):

Bachelor’s degree and 2 years related experience in business management, public administration, or administrative services; or equivalency.

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with human resources functions, practices, and policies. Knowledge of University of South Carolina internal process functions.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

Familiarity or ability to learn USC Policies and procedures.
