JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:  Under the direction of an assigned supervisor this position is responsible for providing administrative support in an academic setting to the Chair, Faculty, and Residents in the Department of Urology.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Coordinates and maintains physicians academic schedules.
  2. Prepare and/or provide teaching and academic meeting documents.
  3. Provides telephone and email support by either directing telephone calls or taking and distributing messages appropriate.
  4. Screens, sorts and distributes mail and documents.
  5. Maintains physicians' calendars.
  6. Provides routine administrative support during residency recruitment.
  7. Prepares travel request and reimbursements for faculty and residents.
  8. Schedules each faculty's medical student lectures for M3 clerkship.
  9. Coordinates, prepares and distributes visiting medical students and college student monthly shadowing schedule.
  10. Prepares and maintains monthly on-call schedules.
  11. Creates new academic year calendar and input resident and faculty schedules.
  12. Maintains and updates conference schedule and attendance for residents and faculty.
  13. Updates outside clinical rotation schedule.
  14. Maintains credentialing for appointment and reappointment for hospital medical staff privileges.
  15. Performs other duties assigned.


Qualifications
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:  

 

EDUCATION: High School Diploma or GED two (2 ) years related experience in an administrative office setting (TRANSCRIPT REQUIRED)
